Feeding the Future: Supporting Local Schools Nutrition Programs

At Cornerstone Co-op, we are dedicated to fostering a healthier future for our community's children. With our newly re-branded initiative, Feeding the Future, we are excited to continue and enhance our support for local schools' nutrition programs.

What is Feeding the Future? Feeding the Future builds on the success of our previous Bags for Breakfast program. With the reduction in plastic bag use, we’ve introduced new revenue streams to keep our mission alive.

1. Reusable Bags: For every reusable bag purchased at our stores, we donate 10 cents to the Feeding the Future fund.

2. Fuel Good Day: Starting Fall 2024, all proceeds from Fuel Good Day will support our Feeding the Future initiative. We’re excited to collaborate with schools to make this event impactful.

3. General Donation: Cornerstone Co-op will allocate a lump sum of budgeted donation dollars annually to this program.

Our Impact: In the past five years, Cornerstone Co-op has donated over $150,000 to local schools’ breakfast programs. In 2023 alone, nearly $35,000 was allocated to 16 schools. We are committed to continuing this tradition of generosity and making a difference in our community.
